Join us for an evening of discussion and reflection as we present our counter-mapping project with garment workers in Jordan’s industrial zones. This event marks a collaboration between the Invisible Women, Invisible Workers Project (University of Nottingham) and 10 Tooba Applied Research on the Built Environment, bringing together social science researchers and architects, exploring the intersections of labour, migration, and spatial justice.
On this occasion, we will also launch our first joint publication:
Drawing Dreams in the Dust – Planning a Workers’ Community Centre in Ad-Dhulayl
The publication emerges from a participatory mapping, planning, and design process with garment workers from Jordan, Syria, and South Asia, conducted in the Ad-Dhulayl industrial zone (Zarqa, Jordan) throughout 2024–2025.
